Have something done
Do you cut your own hair?
Most people don’t.
It’s normal for people to go to a salon or barber shop and pay someone to cut their hair.
———
When we organize/ask (and usually pay) someone to do something for us, we use ‘have + object + V3’ to talk about it.
“I have my hair cut at that shop”
have + object + V3
Compare:
I painted my nails yesterday (I did it myself)
I had my nails painted yesterday (I paid someone to do it for me)

Notes:
We can use ‘get’ instead of ‘have’ (e.g. “I want to get my house cleaned”)
We can use these phrases in any tense (e.g. “I will be having my car repaired next Thursday”)
You can add “by…” to talk about the person/people who will do the task (e.g. “I had my hair cut by Sarah”
